TRANSFER OF HOME VIDEOS TO DVD

Hillview Computer Designing will transfer or convert your DV tapes or videotapes to DVD. Since there's minimal or no editing provided, this is the fastest, simplest and most cost effective way to preserve your old tapes. It’s ideal for things like your wedding video that’s still stored on a videotape.

We can convert Video 8 tapes, Hi8 tapes, DV tape, VHS Tape, S-VHS Tapes and VHS-C Tapes.

What We Do:

  • Using standard transfer equipment and advanced computer software we will endeavour to remove unwanted portions of the video before transferring to DVD
  • There is no restoration done to the original video. The original video is projected from a standard 6-head video recorder or direct from the original video camera depending on the type of tape to be transferred, transmitted through a unit called a Time Base Corrector which allows us to produce a better and cleaner video signal, and then into the computer where all the editing is undertaken.
  • We transfer your video directly from your tapes. This minimizes the chance of damage to your video.
  • Removal of where the camera cap has been left on or where the camera has been facing the ground for long periods.
  • Attention paid to ensure that tapes spanning multiple DVDs do not cut mid event (i.e. in the middle of a birthday celebration).
  • Multiple tapes per DVD.
  • Creation of personalised DVD and cover art.

    • We can use a combination of Single-Layer and Dual-Layer DVD’s. Up to 2 hours of video can be transferred onto a Single Layer DVD and up to 4 hours onto a Dual-Layer DVD.
